POP Go the Berries

(Tune: Pop Goes the Weasel)

All around the strawberry fields,

We picked some juicy berries.

We brought them home and washed them off,

Pop! - go the berries!

I Am A Strawberry

(Tune: I'm A Little Teapot)

I am a strawberry,

Red and sweet.

See all my seeds

And my cap so neat.

When I grow ripe

And ready to eat,

Pop off my cap--

A tasty treat!

Crafts:

Mouse and Strawberry Picture

Give kids a large strawberry shape, copied and cut from red construction paper.

Also, yellow paint and a q-tip to add the seeds, and green crayons or markers so they can color the stem.

Give them a little grey mouse (NCLS Accu-cut "Mouse #2 sm") to glue to the bottom of their strawberry.

Berry Basket Craft

Give each child a picture of a berry basket. Let them make thumbprints with a washable ink pad or paint in red, blue, pink and purple, to fill the baskets with berries.
