Activities:

Crocodile Rock (Mr. Al; Kids Rock Too #4)

See You Later Alligator (Bean Bag Rock and Roll CD)

Teasing Mr. Crocodile

Five little monkeys,                            (Hold up 5 fingers)

Sitting in a tree,

Teasing Mr. Crocodile,                      (Put hands up to head in teasing motion)

"You can't catch me."                         (Shake finger)

Along came Mr. Crocodile,               (place one finger up to mouth in 'Shhh' motion)

Quiet as can be

SNAP!                                             (Clap both hands together like a crocodile's mouth)

Repeat with four, three, two, one... then....

No more little monkeys

Sitting in a tree.

But here's Mr. Crocodile,

Full as can be!

Alternate ending:

One little monkey

Sitting in a tree

Teasing Mr. Crocodile,

"You can't catch me."

Along came Mr. Crocodile,

Quiet as can be

SNAP!

Missed me!

Alligator Pie

Alligator, alligator, alligator pie.                                     (Open and close arms in front of you like alligator jaws)

If I don't get some, I think I'm gonna cry!                        (Rub fists near eyes)

You can take away the grass, you can take away the sky, (Lay hands on ground, then up in the air)

But don't take away my alligator pie!                              (Open and close arms again)

Crafts:

Easy Paper Crocodile

Print the template and cut out. Attach the tail and arms with small brads or pieces of pipe cleaner. Color as desired.

Crocodile Puppet

Fold a rectangular piece of green construction paper in an accordion fold. This will be the crocodile's body. Use the template to cut a head and tail out of green paper. Attach these to each end of the folded piece of paper. Glue wiggly eyes to the head or make eyes from white paper. To make the teeth, cut triangles of white paper and draw a zigzag pattern on them. Glue two craft sticks to the puppet at the head and tail.
